Course Selection Information

When selecting courses each year, remember that course selection is a team process that involves students, parents, counselors, and teachers. Students should consider their long-range and career goals and refer to the BVSD graduation requirements and the college entrance requirements (see the Academic Planning Guide) to make sure they're on track!

The Academic Planning Guide contains information on adding/dropping classes, BVSD graduation requirements, grade point average, college preparation, class fees, the AP Focus Program, department information and programs, and much more. Please be sure to refer to it while planning your schedule.

Freshman and sophomore students are required to take a minimum of six courses each semester. Junior and senior students are required to take five courses each semester. A student must have administrative approval to take fewer than five courses. Use the links below to guide you through the course selection process.
