2019-20 Check-in Instructions
All students must attend Check-in for the 2019-2020 school year. At Check-in, we confirm that families have completed their online district update (see ADU below). We take student photos for IDs, the yearbook, and for ordering (ID's along with activity passes will be distributed once school has begun in August); locker request infromation will be handed out (optional); parking permits for seniors will be given out in Fall.
First day of school for freshmen is August 14 (8:30 am start; click here for the day's schedule); first day for all students is August 15 (8:30 am start). School supplies lists will be handed out by teachers during the first days of class. Orientation for students in grades 10 thru 12 who are new to Boulder High is on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1:00-2:30 pm, in the Library.
What follows is step-by-step information for Check-in. You may do all the online steps at once or start and stop as you wish; however, all online steps should be completed before you attend Check-in. Check-in will be held May 20- May 23 (see Step 3 below for a breakdown of grades and times).
Step 1: Complete Your Annual Data Update (ADU)
On April 15, primary household contacts should have received an email from Boulder Valley School District prompting you to update your information (called the Annual Data Update) on Infinite Campus. If you have not yet done this for your student(s), please complete this process prior to Check-in, if possible. Click here for more information on the ADU process. Only the parent/guardian who is listed as the primary contact can complete the ADU.
To complete your family's ADU--or to confirm that it is complete--log into your Infinite Campus Portal and select the link on the left-hand column titled "Annual Data Update ADU." Students can still get an ID and attend Check-in even if the ADU is not complete.
BVSD will be hosting a Help Center at the BVSD Ed Center located at 6500 Arapahoe Boulder, CO, 80303, for anyone needing assistance with the Annual Data Update (ADU), Online Registration (OLR), and/or Free & Reduced Lunch applications. Step 2: Payment Information (Opens May 1, 2019)
All payments must be completed online starting May 1, 2019. We will not be collecting money for school purchases at Check-in. Note that all Check-in purchases (e.g., planners, activity passes, parking permits, custom lanyards, lockers, etc.) are optional. There are no required purchases or payments for Check-in. All purchases will be distributeded in fall once school has begun.
To make a purchase: Go to https://boulderhighschool.revtrak.net/tek9.asp? then select "Back to School Check-in and School Donation Opportunities" (opens May 1, 2019). Be sure to print your receipt.

Step 3: Attend Check-in at Boulder High
Check-in occurs on the following dates for the grade levels indicated. Check-in will be held in the cafeteria. It is not necessary for parents to attend Check-in as long as the Annual Data Update (ADU) process has been completed.
Fall Check in: Tuesday, August 13, 8:00am-1:00pm (only for students who missed the May checkin dates)
Rising seniors: Monday,
May 20, 11:00am–3:30pm
Rising freshmen: Tuesday, May 21, 3:30pm–6:30pm
Rising sophomores: Wednesday, May 22, 11:00am–3:30pm
Rising juniors: Thursday,
May 23, 11:00am–3:30pm

Additional Information, Calendars, and Forms (Optional)
The following can be printed and, if desired and/or applicable, brought to Check-in. These forms, calendars, and flyers are not required to complete Check-in.

Students can log in to Infinite Campus to see their schedules on Monday, August 12, at 4:00 pm.
Please note that there is no supply list at the high school level. Each individual teacher will provide a supply list for their class during the first week of school.
Free and Reduced-price Lunch (FRL)
Free and Reduced Price meal applications will be available online starting in August. You can complete the application from your Infinite Campus Student/Parent Portal (go to www.bvsd.org
and click on "Infinite Campus Student/Parent Portal"). Once you are logged into your portal account, please select the "Applications/Forms" on the left side to begin the application process. Once you have entered the required information, you may click "Submit" and your application will be submitted pending approval. Fall sports include football, boys soccer, boys golf, boys tennis, cross country, girls softball, poms/cheer, and girls volleyball. After completing registration online, receipts and physicals must be brought to Jenni in the main office during August 1-7, from 9:30–11:30 am and 2:30–3:30 pm. Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
The BHS Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a 501(c)3 parent organization. Every BHS parent and guardian is automatically a member. Every student, classroom, teacher, and administrator is positively impacted by the contributions that PAC makes to the high school. From microscopes to chrome books, PAC grants provide financial support for faculty and staff, helping them meet needs that would otherwise be unmet with the current BVSD BHS budget. Funds go directly to teachers and staff for the benefit of our students! The recommended family donation is $185; but please give what you can. Every donation helps! BHS Band and Orchestra Parents and Students
Please take a minute to register with the Instrumental Music Parents Association (IMPA) so that we can keep you up to date regarding concerts; scholarship, volunteer, and fundraising opportunities; competitions; class trips and more. Go to www.bhs-impa.org to register. Funds raised by IMPA provide approximately 90 percent of the non-salary budget for instrumental music education at Boulder High School.
