A product of the Western Slope, I grew up romping around the mountains and valleys of Durango, Colorado. In high school I enjoyed playing sports as well as being a member of our school's orchestra and student council. I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in physics and a certificate in secondary science education. I have been fortunate to have a variety of teaching experiences prior to arriving at Boulder High. In college I was an undergraduate learning assistant for physics as well as a partner for informal science education in the community (PISEC) through the JILA outreach program. After I graduated I taught for a year at Overland High School and have been teaching as a part of the Dawson Summer Initiative for the past four years. When I am not in my classroom you can find me biking, hiking, or jumping out of planes. I am looking forward to teaching my fourth year at such a great school and in such a supportive community, GO PANTHERS!
