Accessibility Information: CU Event Staff will be available prior to the event to assist with accessibility questions and seating requests. There will be areas available for accessible seating at the Coors Event Center. The accessible entrance for the Event Center is on the ground level of the Northwest side of the building. Once you enter you will be directed by an usher to the appropriate seating area. For guests who are wheelchair-bound, space is available on the concourse level after you enter the facility through the main doors. Individuals unable to walk down the stairs for seating should take the elevator to the floor level. On the floor level, because of space limitations, each disabled person may be accompanied by only one other person.

Dress: We expect that graduates take the opportunity to celebrate this important achievement by dressing appropriately. Students should wear clothes and shoes that are both comfortable and appropriate, in line with a dress code that aims to show respect for the graduation ceremony. Graduates are allowed to decorate their cap to display their unique personality, as long as the decorations are appropriate, respectful, and don't distract from the ceremony.

Gowns: All students must wear a purple cap and gown to participate in the graduation ceremony. Gowns must be fully zipped all the way up!

Tassels: The Tassel should be worn over the right temple, just to the right of the eye.

Diplomas: Graduates will receive their diploma from their Counselor after leaving the stage.

Graduate Exit: At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates will recess out of the venue the same way they entered. Please plan on a location to meet your graduate once they exit the venue prior to the ceremony, as there will be NO floor photography or meeting graduates on the venue floor.

Photography: Boulder High School has partnered with LifeTouch to provide photography services during the ceremony. Each graduate will have their photo taken on stage once they receive their diploma cover. Guests will be asked to remain in their seats during the entirety of the ceremony so as not to interfere with other guests.

Concessions & Flowers: The venues concession stands will be open during the ceremony serving breakfast fare. Guests should plan to bring appropriate payment to purchase food items. CU has partnered with a local vendor to sell flowers inside the venue for graduates. All payment types will be accepted.

Behavior: The Boulder High School Graduation ceremony is designed to provide memories that will last a lifetime. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a polite and respectful manner as appropriate for a ceremony celebrating the accomplishments of all members of the graduating class. Graduates should refrain from bringing in items that might disrupt the ceremony. Please reference the Prohibited Items list above.

All guests are welcome to attend the BHS Graduation Ceremony. No tickets are required.
