Principals Message February 2024
Dear Boulder High Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. As we approach a crucial phase in our academic calendar, I want to take a moment to remind you of the significance of the upcoming testing period for our high school students. Our students have been working diligently throughout the school year, and now is the time for them to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired.
Standardized testing (including PSAT/SAT and CMAS Science) plays a vital role in assessing their academic progress, providing valuable insights into their strengths and areas for growth. The results not only help us evaluate our curriculum but also assist in tailoring individualized support to ensure each student's success. You can anticipate more specific information to come out February 26, 2024.
In addition to the CMAS and SAT/PSAT, we are swiftly approaching the AP testing season. As May approaches, expect an increase in communications regarding this
series of exams.
On the topic of increased emails, we find ourselves amidst the registration season. Over the past few weeks, our 9th-11th graders have received presentations from our academic counselors and engaged in meaningful conversations with teachers regarding course selections for the upcoming academic year. Last week, I had the privilege of attending an initial planning meeting for City of Boulder Civic Area Phase 2. It was a rewarding experience to represent Boulder High School and explore potential partnerships while gaining insights into design considerations from other local businesses and organizations. I eagerly anticipate the evolution of the project as the city initiates community engagement sessions.
As we navigate these milestones in your student’s academic journey, I appreciate your continued support and commitment to the success of our students. The collaboration between our educators, students, and community members is what makes our school thrive. Please stay tuned for detailed information on the testing period and other important updates.
