Computing plays a role in virtually every career. Computer programming skills are essential in Scientific Research, Engineering, Business, Creative Arts, Media, Agriculture, Social Systems, Finance, Fashion, International Affairs, you name it! Good preparation in high school can set you up for a career in software, IT or Artificial Intelligence, or give you a head start toward college study in any of these fields.
Class of 2026, 2027, & 2028
Completion of an approved one-semester computer class in middle school or completion of a course that meets the computer requirement. Many students meet this requirement in middle school. See your counselor or the Big 5, Mighty 7 for BHS courses that fulfill this graduation requirement.

This list of courses provides the most up to date course offering information about the course number, course description, requirements, credits, and if the course is NCAA eligible.
