The Spanish Department wanted to inform all of you that the placement exam is here! All incoming freshmen and transfer students wishing to sign up for level 2 or higher in Spanish will be required to take a placement exam.
The Spanish Placement Exam is a diagnostic test to properly place incoming freshmen and transfer students for levels 2 and above. This will greatly help set up classes for next year as well as set your student(s) up for success in the Spanish program. This will hopefully prevent level changes in August.
We have a few changes this year:
- The test will be administered online on a Monday asynchronous day. Students will be sent a Google Meet invitation to join and there they will be given instructions on how to access the test.
- Students will sign up online. Below is a QR code to scan to sign up. The link will also be on the Boulder High School Website.
- The test is on Schoology and our Spanish teachers will be proctoring it. This year the test will be timed. Students will have 1 hours to complete the test.
The dates are as follows at :
Monday, March 1st
Monday, March 8th
Monday, May 3rd
Monday, May 10th
We have planned this test during an asynchronous day so that students will not miss work from your class. Accurate placement of students in the spring will help us eliminate schedule changes as a result of level changes, it will help us with an accurate number of sections and class size for next year. So, please support our efforts to ensure the correct placement of our 9th graders! Below is the QR code to scan to sign up for the test, or your student(s) can click this link:
