Student Council
The Boulder High School Student Council is a student-elected group of forty-two freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior representatives. Student Council serves as the voice of the student body and liaison between students and the administration of Boulder High. At the school level, representatives are responsible for all school rallies, Homecoming and Winter dances, Spring Fling, Senior TORCH assembly, movie nights, and many more events that help to unite and unify our school community.
At state and national levels, representatives have engaged in numerous community service drives and activities raising supplies and thousands of dollars for organizations such as the Emergency Family Assistance Association of Boulder, There With Care of Boulder, Make-A-Wish America, and many more.
Student Council also provides representatives with opportunities to expand their leadership skills through state and national leadership conferences. Students have had the opportunity to attend conferences across the state of Colorado (Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs, Durango, Grand Junction) and the nation (Las Vegas, Orlando, Washington, D.C.).
Mission Statement
We the Boulder High School Student Council will strive to serve as an effective liaison between the administration and student body in order to initiate changes that will foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere at Boulder High School. We will actively collaborate with faculty and students, using their input to create new ideas that promote school spirit and unity, embrace diversity, and encourage involvement from the Boulder community.

The National Association of Student Councils (NASC) recognizes middle level and high school student councils that consistently provide quality leadership activities and service to their schools and communities. Boulder High School has been recognized as an NASC Gold Council of Excellence for the past eight years. This award recognizes that Boulder High School has met a minimum of 49 indicators covering the areas of Governance, Service, General Activities and Operations, and Civic Engagement and Student Voice. The Boulder High School Student Council is one of 200+ schools in the nation (one of 16 in Colorado) to receive this distinction.
