Library

• Please be seated in a chair at a table or computer. One person per chair.
• Be respectful of the space and considerate of those around you.
• If you make a mess, clean it up.
• Please mute all portable devices or use headphones.
• No food or cell phones in the library.
• Keep your hands to yourself.

• A BHS student ID is needed to checkout any item from the Library.
• Book checkouts are for 2 weeks.
• You may bring in an item before the 2 week loan period is over and renew it for another 2 weeks. (Limit of 1 renew)
• Maximum of 5 items checked out at one time.

• Daily Loaner Chromebooks and chargers are available for checkout at the Library main desk.
• All Daily Loaner Chromebooks and chargers must be returned by 4pm on the day they were checked out.
• We have a three strike system for our Daily Loaners. If a student fails to return their Daily Loaner by 4pm, a "strike" will be placed on their account. For each week that the Chromebook is overdue past this point, an additional strike will be added. Once a student receives three strikes within one semester, they will loose the privilege to check out Daily Loaners for the rest of the semester.

• The library does not charge late fees for overdue items.
• If an item is lost or damaged while it is checked out to a student, the Library must be reimbursed the repair/replacement cost.
• Students with overdue or lost materials will be unable to:
  • Check out further material from the BHS Library
  • Receive next year's student ID
  • Receive a cap and gown at graduation

Students using computers in the Library are subject to BVSD Student Use of Technology (See JS Policy-English or JS Policy-Spanish)
