ANNOUNCEMENTS

All students must have a student ID to enter the building. IDs can be scanned at most entrances, and can be used to access things within the school such as library books or school lunches. If an ID is lost, students will need to enter through the visitor door and speak with the Administrative office.

 

 

STUDENT ID & DRESS CODE POLICIES

STUDENT IDENTIFICATION

Every BHS student is required to have a current student ID issued at the beginning of the school year. The ID must be in a student’s possession at all times.  You will not be able to ENTER the building, obtain a hall pass, leave a classroom, use a computer or check out media center materials without an ID. Proper Identification is also required to attend school events (i.e. sporting events, dances, etc.) at the student rate. Student IDs will allow a student to access the main doors to the building between the hours of 8:00am and 3:50pm.  

REFUSAL TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF All persons must, upon request, identify themselves to school personnel on school grounds or at school sponsored events by name and student ID. Students refusing to do so will be subject to disciplinary action.

Lost IDs may be replaced for $10. After paying the fee online at BHS RevTrak (select "Replacement ID-FOB" in the left column"), please bring the receipt to the office to receive a replacement.  

 

VIOLATION

CONSEQUENCE

First Offense

Students will receive a warning and an emailed reminder to carry their School ID at all times. 

Second Offense

Parent(s) will be notified that their student is in violation of the student identification safety policy.  Students will be issued a two hour community service, which will need to be completed by the end of the week.  If the community service is not completed, the time will be doubled.  

Third Offense

Parent(s) will be notified that their student is in violation of the student identification safety policy.  Students will be issued a four hour community service, which will need to be completed by the end of the week.  If the community service is not completed, the time will be doubled.  

Fourth Offense

Parent(s) will be notified that their student is in violation of the student identification safety policy.  Parent(s) will be expected to pick their child up from school, until such a time arrangements can be made to meet with an assistant principal to ensure an understanding of the school’s safety policy.
